群馬県県安中市松井田町にあるめがね橋を撮影しました。
この橋の正式名称は、碓氷第三橋梁（うすいだいさんきょうりょう）と言う鉄道橋です。一般には「めがね橋」という名称で知られています。
碓氷川に架かる煉瓦造りの4連アーチ橋で、碓氷峠の代表的な建造物です。国鉄信越本線横川駅 – 軽井沢駅間の橋梁の一つで、同区間がアプト式鉄道時代に使われた。設計者は、1882年（明治15年）に鉄道作業局技師長としてイギリスから日本に招聘されたイギリス人技師のパウナル (Charles Assheton Whately Pownall)[1]と古川晴一ということです。

I took this photo of the Megane Bridge in Matsuida Town, Annaka City, Gunma Prefecture.
The official name of this bridge is the Usui Third Bridge, a railway bridge. It is more commonly known as the “Megane Bridge.”
It is a brick four-arch bridge spanning the Usui River, and is a representative structure of Usui Pass.This is one of the bridges on the Japanese National Railways Shinetsu Main Line between Yokokawa Station and Karuizawa Station, and was used during the Abt system railway era. It was designed by Charles Assheton Whately Pownall[1], a British engineer who was invited to Japan from the UK in 1882 (Meiji 15) as the chief engineer of the Railway Works Bureau, and Seiichi Furukawa.
