Making a flower vase, a container w/lid ＆ a large plate, Mashiko, Japan 益子焼陶芸家　河原健雄

We had an opportunity to visit Kawahara Pottery Studio in Mashiko, Tochigi prefecture, Japan in October 2024.
Mr. Kenyu Kawahara, one of the leading ceramic artists, showed us the process of molding Mashiko ceramic ware, such as a flower vase, a container with lid, and a large bowl. I would like to share this rare experience with you. I also included his amazing ceramic pieces in this video.
