  2. I like barbecue in Shenzhen. Many bbq shops there. Seafood, oyster. Many Many delicious foods with cold Beer 😊😊😊

  3. Cant imagine Ben and You have brave to try pig s brain…😅😅. Even I m a Chinese… I cant accept.. it s disgusting… I not dare to try…😅😅

  4. China has a lot to offer tourists if you’re the sort of person that likes culture & new experiences.Just wish we could visit without a visa.We could get a great trade deal with China if the British govt knew what they were doing & engaged with them more

It's hard to hold back. People care about intelligence and gain, but they don't care about the 'nothingness' ahead. The most famous figure in Lingyin Temple is the Ji Dian monk, whose story fully embodies the indifference to achieving merit.
Haha, of course this is just Zen Buddhism, not secular life. The inscription in front and the scripture you copied behind are the most classic Buddhist scriptures, the Prajnaparamita Heart Sutra.

  6. The problem with the temples in urban areas in China is that most of them were vandalized and destroyed during the Cultural Revolution (1966-1975), and the present ones were rebuilt and are, therefore, not authentic.

  7. China used to be the second biggest country in the world. After the Communists seized power in 1949, it conceded vast amount of territories to its neighbors.

  8. 5:00 the "crystal beads' left after cremation of venerated monks are called Śarīra 舍利子(she-li-zi), if anyone's interested in looking up more info.

  9. Lingyin's grounds is massive now, including the newly developed tourist areas down below… i've visited a few times in the noughts when i was working in Hangzhou, before they had entrance gates, but i much prefer visiting next door's Yongfu temple and their Fuquan tea house these days, just for the delicious vegetarian food and quietness away from the crowds. Wow, so many different entrance gates…

  10. Loved your day in Hangzhou, and what fabulous hosts you had with Tripod, when I come to China I will be looking them up before I depart the UK, thank you R & B and Tripod for such a great experience I had watching this vid. 🙏

  13. FYI- The salted duck egg yolk in the moon cakes in a previous video represents the autumn moon, when the festival is celebrated in the fall after the harvest.

There is Heaven up there, and Suzhou and Hangzhou are here on earth.

  15. The reason why hotels don’t leave the amenities in the rooms any more is to reduce waste and be more environmentally friendly. Hong Kong has gone further by eliminating all plastic stuff. You’ll get everything paper, plates, bowls, cutlery etc.

  23. I can't lie. i think it would be better if you both live in china because your china vlogs are the best
