“Lake Towada” is one of the most beautiful winter lakes in Japan.
You would enjoy the wonderful snowscape and natural abundance there.
This lake is actually the biggest “Double Caldera Lake” in the world which had been created by the twice eruptions over ten thousand years ago.
The eruptions were so huge to make it much deeper(the third deepest lake in Japan.)

青森・秋田の県境に広がる日本を代表する景勝地、十和田湖。
このカヌーツアーに参加することは、今回の青森旅行で最も楽しみにしていたことの一つでした。
十和田湖の成り立ち、生態系、美しさ。
ガイドの太田さんにその全てを一つ一つ丁寧に解説していただきました。
そして八甲田山など、雪を被った美しい山々を背景に、透き通った水面を自分たちの手で漕いで行く。
氷点下の凍えるような寒さも忘れ、その静けさと心地よさに酔いしれました。
次回は、夏の生い茂った木々、秋の紅葉といったように、また新たな角度から十和田湖の魅力を感じたいと思います。

[冬・十和田湖カヌーツアー](公式HPより)
雪と氷に閉ざされた冬の十和田湖。八甲田山から吹き降ろす凍てつい風により荒れることが多い十和田湖ですが、時にまるで嘘のように静まりかえります。外輪山の森は繊細な雪の華を飾り、鏡のように森を写しこんだ湖面の隣には大小様々なハス凍りが誕生し、岸沿いには光に当てられた飛沫凍りのカーテンが並んでいます。そんな中にはハクチョウやホシハジロなどの冬鳥が羽を休めていたり、過酷な環境にも耐え忍んでいる生き物の姿が見られます。北国ならではの景観です。ガイドの解説に耳を傾けこの絶景をカヌー目線でゆっくりと楽しみましょう！
安全なツアーを心がけておりますので、カヌー同士を繋げたダブルカヌーを使用し、ガイドも同乗し操艇します。非常に寒いので、防寒対策をしっかりとおこないましょう
