滋賀県近江八幡市の日牟禮八幡宮で「左義長まつり」（2025年3月16日）”Sagicho Festival” in Omihachiman City, Shiga Prefecture
滋賀県近江八幡市宮内町の日牟禮（ひむれ）八幡宮で2025年3月16日の夜、湖国に春の訪れを告げる「左義長まつり」のクライマックス「奉火（ほうか）」が行われた。大豆やするめ、昆布などで作られた干支の飾り物「ダシ」13基が燃え上がり、五穀豊穣や商売繁盛を祈った。
On the evening of March 16, 2025, Himure Hachimangu Shrine in Miyauchi-cho, Omihachiman City, Shiga Prefecture, held the climax of the Sagicho Festival, which heralds the arrival of spring in the Lake Country. Thirteen dashi ornaments, which are decorations representing the zodiac animals made from soybeans, dried squid, kelp, and other materials, were set ablaze, and prayers were made for bountiful harvests and prosperous business.
