Japan’s Hidden Port Town Kesennuma/ Best Inn & Ken Watanabe’s Cafe
Kesennuma, a port city in Miyagi, was deeply affected by the 2011 tsunami. Inspired by a video from Abroad in Japan, I finally visited—and it was an unforgettable experience. In this video, I’d like to share my wonderful experience at Tsunakan, a charming Inn, Cafe owned by world famous actor Ken Watanabe and more beauties that is not known by many tourists.

Kesennuma (and Tsunakan Inn in particular) looks like a nice place for a friendly local experience. I really like port towns and I would definitely consider visiting here.
Thanks Lemi for the awesome Premier. The editing, narration, all perfect! The folks at that inn were so nice I love to see that. Thanks again!
Nice video Lemi. Chilled and relaxing place. I'm glad the residents are getting back to normal after the disaster. It looked like you had a great time at the Inn. It brought back fond memories of your livestreams from there. Hope to see you again soon.
Great video Lemi. I really loved the place that you stayed. Seeing the guests off was a really nice gesture. The seafood you ate looked so fresh. One of the great qualities of Japan. The cafe was also nice. Kesennuma looks like a really nice place to visit and stay over😀

Excellent video Lemi. Well worth all the effort you put into it. What a nice inn and restaurant. Also loved the view from the mountain down on the harbor.
Mother Nature can sadly be unforgiving and destructive but as this reflective video shows it can also unite resilient people together to rebuild what they have lost. That spirit and their A+++ hospitality was heartening to watch.
Very nice video Lemi.

The Tsunaken inn and the food they made was my favorite part of this video! I would definitely stay there!

What a beautiful trip you had! I have never stayed at an inn where the owner shared meals with the guests, like family. The ice aquarium was beautiful but also like something from an American horror movie I once watched…🤔🥴! Thank you for sharing your journey, and for telling the story of Kesennuma from the tragic earthquake and tsunami to the present time 🙏🏻❤
よく作られたヴログありがとうございます

When you took the wrong train , I hope you recorded it for your " The Misadventures of Lemi the Navigator " series ! 🗺
1万人おめでとうございます😆気仙沼に行かれたんですね!!料理も日本酒もめちゃうまそうですね😍早いもので震災から14年がたちましたね。
It would have been cool if Ken Watanabe had been there and served you breakfast. Maybe on your next visit, hopefully. 🤞 Thanks for a great premiere, Lemi. 😊👍
The 2011 earthquake and tsunami was a very tragic event. Some years ago I watched the Japanese movie " Voices in the Wind " where the young girls family were wash away never to be found again. She travelled around aimlessly searching for answers, finally she went to that phone in the wind at Otuchi and got closure talking on the not connected phone to her family.
