下呂温泉から東へ車で約20分のところに、乗政大滝があります。長野県境にそびえる1500m級の山々を源とする落差約21mの滝で、水量も豊富で落下する様は勇壮です。
冬の林道は雪が深いので四駆でも結構きつかったです。林道からさらに膝の高さの雪の中を歩くとその滝はありました。
About a 20-minute drive east of Gero Onsen, you will find Norimasa Great Falls. This waterfall, with a drop of approximately 21 meters, originates from the 1,500-meter-class mountains towering along the Nagano Prefecture border. With its abundant water flow, the sight of the cascading water is truly magnificent.
In winter, the forest road is covered in deep snow, making it quite challenging to navigate even with a four-wheel-drive vehicle. After leaving the road, I had to walk through knee-deep snow to finally reach the breathtaking waterfall.
