今回は北海道にある「川湯温泉」に訪れます。
阿寒摩周国立公園内にあり、最高の泉質に絶景の観光地など沢山あるなか衰退していく温泉街。
廃墟が目立ち、景観上の問題にもなっています。
今後の発展が気になる温泉地です。

    池の湯もしっかり入られてるのはさすがですね(^^;
    ここは自分も２度訪れてますが、どの時期でもぬるいようです。
    ずっと入ってると出られなくなりそうです。足元がヌルヌルすぎてコケそうでした。
    こんな寒い時期に絶対に誰も来ないだろうと思ったら自分が着替えてる際に若いカップルが待ってました(^^;
    コタンの湯の方がぶっちゃけ絶対良いですよね、温度的には。ハクチョウもいっぱい来てくれますし。

    Hokkaido has a lot potential, but some things also have to be addressed to keep the tourist spots alive or add more to the rooster.
    Public transport is really not too good in Hokkaido. Some tourist magnets have to be added to the mix … the biggest of something, the fastestet, steepest… you know the drill. That will get the nerds and with them comes a wave of more tourists. So much work … but efficilently done while protecting the nature .. there is so much potential.

    Excellent video. I am German and have been to Japan several times, but never to Hokkaido. My wife is Japanese from Toyama and has never been either (yes, yes… we know… German and Japanese… please save the jokes… lol).     I've ALWAYS wanted to visit Saporro, Hokkaido during snow season and I do Not wanna see more tourists than Japanese.

    Anybody see that video of the ALL the trash, left over tents, human sh*t and more atop Mount Everest??… It ain't black people climbing Mt Everest 🙄

    もう30年前ツーリングで立ち寄りさせてもらいました。
    交通手段とかは関係ないです。熊本の黒川、大分の湯布院とかそこまで便利じゃないですがそれでも沢山の人が集まります。そこまで人を集めるための努力は沢山あって今があります。
    星野さんの進出もそうですが地元の方々の協力あれば人気の温泉地になると思います。
    当方もうすぐリタイヤ組ですがまたバイクで行きたいですね。

    My wife and I visited Hokkaido in 2017, it was so beautiful but a bit hard to reach from Tokyo with no easy Shinkansen connection. Sapporo had the friendliest people I ever met and the food was great, I went during the autumn festival they had

    Maybe because difficult to travel by train or bus go there and the best way is drive that why less and less visitors to this area. Maybe next time I will hire a car when revisiting Hokkaido . Twice I visited Hokkaido but still can’t see a lots of good places because of transport difficulties.

    I love Hokkaido, and often visit. A great number of resorts were built around Japan in the 70’s and 80’s. This was the time when Japan’s economy was growing, and people had more money. But the Japanese yen during this period was very weak, Japan’s politicians kept it that way so Japanese products would remain cheaper than their rivals in America and Europe. The weak yen made international travel too expensive for most Japanese, so they traveled domestically. But in the mid-80’s President Reagan had had enough, he and the European leaders had Japan agree to sign the Plaza Accords, which ended currency manipulation. This caused the yen to explode in value. This increased value, and increased value in real estate and industry saw Japan, for a brief time, surpass America as the world’s richest economy. The Ginza district in Tokyo, less than a square mile, had a higher real estate value than the combined 48 lower United States. But with the yen so strong, foreign travel became cheap, and Japanese flooded to Paris, Rome, New York, and everywhere else. Business in Japan’s domestic resorts began to suffer. Then came the collapse of the “Bubble Economy. Even so, the yen never got as weak as it did during Japan’s heyday, and the bad economy made even domestic travel unaffordable.

    On the positive side, foreign tourism is increasing, some 37 million visitors came to Japan in 2024, spending some $51 billion. Resorts in Japan are now crowded, and shorthanded. New resorts are being built, and some older resorts are being restored.

    Hokkaido is truly a beautiful place and is so distinct compared to the rest of Japan. I really loved traveling throughout it and want to rent a car the next time i visit so i can go the more secluded parts that are difficult to access by public transportation. Thanks for the incredible video.

    외국인 입장에서는 북해도 동쪽은 방문 난이도가 약간 있는편인데, 이걸 얼마나 극복할 수 있을지……
