  1. What a wonderful visit we had to Steyning, Bramber and Upper Beeding! One small correction so far. I mentioned trades in Church St, including a barrow maker which should have been barrel maker for all those thirsty drinkers!

  2. That's another very scenic corner of England that I never had the chance to experience in my former travelling days. Interesting to hear you speak of some of the larger old buildings being split up now into multiple dwellings. I remember having an interesting chat with a young fellah who had bought one half of a similar half-timbered house in Haslemere and he and his lady were busily spruicing it up. All the regulations pertaining thereto certainly made interesting listening to someone who had recently run the dozer through a decaying house on his own property.

  3. Thank you for beautiful places that take us "away" from the nonsense on our US shores 🙄

  4. Thank You! Beautifully filmed and we really enjoyed the adventure! Amazing properties and those gardens were Ah!'s around every corner.
That courtyard filled with green lodges was great and we could imagine them all decorated for Christmas!
We really enjoyed seeing all those Hollyhocks……
Thank you guys for bringing such a cheerful video!😊

  5. One of my favourite villages. Used to be a gorgeous tea room on the corner by the Grammar School. Sadly now closed. Happy days 😊

  6. This was delightful. You guys do the best walking/travel shows. The photography is fantastic, and I like that you linger over a scene so we can take in the details rather than quickly pass on to the next, as some presenters do. I also like your commentaries! Keep up the great work! I look forward to watching the next one.

  7. Your videos do a wonderful job of highlighting the social history of the towns and villages you feature. They are a good reminder of the struggles and successes of the common people making up the bulk of the population, and some of my ancestors no doubt. No royals or nobles in my bloodline. Thank you.

  8. Thank you for another really informative video. I look forward to each new one.
It was my Penderel great grandfather who hid the king in that oak from which the tree in those gardens was grown 😀

  9. Incredible! Absolutely beautiful from beginning to end! Thank you for sharing this truly delightful experience! Blessings to you both!

  10. You gentlemen are making it extremely difficult to plan my next trip to England in September. My "Places to See" list is outrageously long for my 2 week visit 😳😂!

  11. Oh how I envy you & Will being able to enjoy these beautiful & historic villages! Thank you so much for letting us enjoy these travels with you.❤

  12. Beautiful area. Delightful video. Lovely buildings. The Methodist church is gorgeous. Tthank you for sharing.😊

  13. Yet another enormously attractive town that I'd never heard of before this tour! And your remarkable history knowledge of these towns and villages is gobsmacking.

  14. As usual Simon and Will, beautiful and informative video. Thanks for taking us on such an awesome outing.

  15. I love seeing these towns without advertising everywhere. I feel for the villagers / towns people when whoever was living in the castle upset someone else, there was bound to be a battle or two while the castle changed hands. That castle wall that is left standing would possibly be taken down if in New Zealand as an earthquake risk. I loved the wander around the villages as well as the garden with the leaning trees, thank you as always. Take care both of you =-).

  16. Steyning what a beautiful Village, I have never heard of it before plus Bamber was lovely too. The history of both places was so intereting you really have researched everything so well. Thank you so much 💕🇦🇺
