水引細工発祥の老舗、加賀水引 津田水引折型
日本の伝統的ラッピングともいえる水引。約1世紀前、石川県金沢市の津田左右吉（加賀水引初代）がそれまで平面的デザインだった和紙の折型を立体的に仕上げ、水引の紐細工を造形的な結びに進化させました。加賀水引は現在5代まで継承され水引の本質を守り伝えながら水引を進化させています。体験場所ではさまざまな作品を鑑賞することができます。
In Kanazawa, a city where culture has been alive since ancient times, we plan to introduce artists, craftsmen, and professionals in their fields who are sharing their traditional skills and Kanazawa’s history and culture with visitors.
Kaga Mizuhiki, the birthplace of Mizuhiki craft, Tsuda Mizuhiki folded type Mizuhiki is a traditional Japanese wrapping technique. About a century ago, Tsuda Sokichi (the founder of Kaga Mizuhiki) of Kanazawa City,
Ishikawa Prefecture, developed Mizuhiki stringwork into a three-dimensional form by creating a three-dimensional folded pattern from the previously flat design of Japanese paper. Kaga Mizuhiki has now been passed down to the fifth generation, who have evolved Mizuhiki while preserving and passing on the essence of Mizuhiki.
Visitors can view a variety of mizuhiki works at the hands-on experience area.
