We Drove Into Cambodia’s Floating City

Beyond Cambodia’s tourist hotspots lies an ever-changing world where roads vanish, rivers replace streets, and entire villages float. This week, we swap our 4WD adventure for boats to explore Kampong Khleang, one of the largest floating villages on Tonlé Sap Lake.

From stilted homes rising above the water to hidden temples and unexpected encounters, this trip was unlike anything we’ve done before! And just when we thought we had seen it all, a giant python appeared in the middle of lunch.

  1. Next time you'll have to get them to take you up to Phnom Kulen! Not far from Siem Reap and stunning. Glad you enjoyed your time in Cambodia and had some good interactions with the super friendly locals!
