長岡花火 復興祈願花火フェニックス Japan Nagaoka Fireworks Festival 2024 – Phoenix of Fireworks

This is a short video of the Phoenix of Fireworks, a prayer for recovery, from the Nagaoka Festival Grand Fireworks Display held in Nagaoka City, Niigata Prefecture Japan on August 2, 2024.
The Niigata Chuetsu Earthquake of October 2004 caused enormous damage to the Chuetsu region, including Nagaoka City, and affected many people.
Furthermore, the earthquake caused extensive damage not only to the Chuetsu region, but to the entire Niigata prefecture as well, causing great damage to various industries, including the tourism industry.
The Phoenix of Fireworks display was started with the desire to launch a spectacular fireworks display that could be proudly called the best in the world, in order to cheer up the many people throughout Niigata Prefecture, including the Chuetsu region, who are working hard in the wake of the great earthquake disaster, and to pray for a speedy recovery.
As a symbol of gratitude to the many people around the world who have supported the recovery of the area, the “Phoenix of Fireworks for Earthquake Recovery” are launched at the Nagaoka Festival, which originated as a festival to celebrate recovery from the war damage.

2024年8月2日に新潟県長岡市で開催した、長岡まつり大花火大会より、復興祈願花火フェニックスのショート動画です。
2004年10月の新潟県中越大震災は、長岡市を含め中越地方に甚大なる被害をもたらし、多くの方々が被災しました。また、中越地方に限らず新潟県全体においても、観光産業をはじめとした各種産業に多大な被害を及ぼしました。
フェニックス花火の打ち上げは、大震災に負けずに頑張っている中越地方をはじめとする新潟県全体の大勢の人々を元気付けるために、また、一日も早い復興を祈願して、世界一として誇れるような壮大な花火を打ち上げたい、という想いからスタートしました。
世界中の人々の復興とご支援いただいた多くの方々への感謝のシンボルとして、「復興祈願花火フェニックス」を戦災からの復興を起源とした「長岡まつり」にて打ち上げております。
