ぶらり旅 第494回「愛媛県:石鎚神社 中宮 成就社」-アクセス,駐車場,石鎚山,ロープウェー,登山,ハイキング,スキー場,四国- Ishizuchi Shrine,Ehime
ふらっと出かけた場所を紹介しようと思います。
2022年11月に愛媛県西条市にある「石鎚神社 中宮 成就社」に行きました。
・石鎚山
久万高原町と西条市にまたがる西日本最高峰の美しく雄大な霊峰石鎚。
標高は1982ｍ。古くから山そのものが神として崇めれ、日本七霊山の一つに数えられます。
天気がいい日には瀬戸内海はもちろん、中国地方や九州地方の山々まで遠望することができ、春夏秋冬で見せる色とりどりの景色は感動を誘います。
久万高原町側からの登山ルートである土小屋コースは、桟橋や休憩ベンチなど登りやすいように整備されているので初心者にもおすすめのコース。
四国に夏を呼ぶ石鎚山のお山開き（7月1日～10日）。
この祭礼期間中の登拝者は全国各地より数万人を越え、平素本社でご奉斎している三体の御神像を成就社経由で頂上社に移します。
鈴の音、ホラ貝がこだまし、白装束の人々で賑わいます。
・石鎚神社 中宮 成就社
石鎚山中腹（1,450m）にある石鎚4神社のひとつです。
進学、入学、家内安全祈願の参拝者の方々で賑わっています。
成就社は、千三百年数十年の昔、石鎚山開山の祖、役小角が石鎚山頂を拝さんとして、心身を清め山頂を目指しましたが、どうしても山頂に至る事ができず、力尽きて下山しようとしたところ、成就社境内で、ひたすらに斧を研いでいる一人の白髪の老人に出会いました。
小角は、不思議に思ってわけを尋ねてみると「この斧を研いで針にする」とのことでした。
この言葉に小角は感銘し、再び行を続け、西日本最高峰の石鎚山を開山することができました。
因みに、この時の老人が石鎚大神（石鎚毘古命）だと伝えられ、以来小角の心願が叶ったことから、ここを｢成就社｣と称し、お社が祀られ、今に全国各地より諸願成就の成就の宮として広く尊崇を集めています。
・石鎚登山ロープウェイ
西条市から石鎚山への登山ルートにあるロープウェイ。
標高455mの山麓下谷駅から標高1300mの山頂成就駅まで、所要時間約8分の空の旅が楽しめる。
ハイキングに最適な遊歩道やスキー場、360度の大パノラマが広がる展望台などが整備されているため、手軽に登山を楽しめるスポットです。
営業時間：8:40～17:00※季節や行事により変動あり
休業日：年中無休（4月上旬に運休有）
料金：(片道)大人（中学生以上）1200円／小人（小学生以下）600円
往復)大人（中学生以上）2200円／小人（小学生以下）1100円

I would like to introduce some places I visited on a whim.
In November 2022, I visited Ishizuchi Shrine Chugu Jojusha in Saijo City, Ehime Prefecture.
・Mt. Ishizuchi
Ishizuchi is a beautiful and majestic sacred mountain that straddles Kumakogen Town and Saijo City and is the highest peak in western Japan.
It has an altitude of 1,982m. Since ancient times, the mountain itself has been worshiped as a god and is counted as one of the Seven Sacred Mountains of Japan.
On a clear day, you can see not only the Seto Inland Sea but also the mountains of the Chugoku and Kyushu regions in the distance, and the colorful scenery that appears in spring, summer, autumn and winter is impressive.
The Tsuchigoya Course, a climbing route from Kumakogen Town, is well-maintained with piers and rest benches for easy climbing, so it is a recommended course for beginners.
The opening of Mt. Ishizuchi (July 1st to 10th) brings summer to Shikoku.
During this festival, tens of thousands of people climb the mountain from all over the country, and the three deities that are usually enshrined at the main shrine are moved to the summit shrine via Jojusha.
The sound of bells and conch shells echoes, and the place is bustling with people in white robes.
・Ishizuchi Shrine Chugu Jojusha
This is one of the four Ishizuchi shrines located on the middle slope of Mt. Ishizuchi (1,450m).
It is bustling with worshippers who come to pray for further education, admission to school, and safety in their families.
Jojusha is a place where En no Gyoja, the founder of Mt. Ishizuchi, came to worship at the top of Mt. Ishizuchi, purifying his body and mind, but was unable to reach the top. When he ran out of strength and was about to descend, he encountered a gray-haired old man in the grounds of Jojusha who was intently sharpening an axe.
Curious, Kozuno asked why, and was told, “I’m going to sharpen this axe and make it into a needle.”
Kozuno was so impressed by this that he continued his pilgrimage and was able to open up Mt. Ishizuchi, the highest mountain in western Japan.
Incidentally, it is said that the old man was Ishizuchi no Okami (Ishizuchibiko no Mikoto), and since then, as Kozuno’s wish was granted, the place has been called “Jojusha” (Shōjūsha) and a shrine has been enshrined there. It is now widely revered throughout the country as a shrine for the fulfillment of wishes.
