  1. Always so beautiful with great narration so we know a little something about a place I will never be in. Thank yall

  2. It's hard for this American to wrap his head around hearing the words Bavarian Alps and Weekend Getaway in the same sentence. Nonetheless, thank you for this enjoyable video as it's been too long since my last visit to Bavaria. Cheers!

  3. Got "stranded" in Mittenwald for about an hour or so once, when my Hogan's Heroes German wasn't up to deciphering the DB timetable notes which actually said that "this train doesn't go all the way through to Innsbruck today"! Not a "mistake" that I regret! 😉😊

  4. WoW, wow, wow!! So beautiful! A fairy tale land. So fitting that the common folk are able to visit all those palaces and castles now. After all they were all built on the backs of ancestors.

  5. What a beautiful place. My paternal grandmother's parents came to the US in the 1800s from Bavaria. I would love to see it. Thank you for sharing your trip. Dovie and I were a little concerned when you two were walking in the gorge with the wrong shoes. She said she would be holding the rail the entire time. Cheers Ron and Dovie

  6. Schönes Video, danke. Das ist aber nur die schöne Seite Bayerns (meine Heimat). Es gibt auch eine hässliche Seite, mit viel Industrie, hässlichen Gebäuden, völlig verbauter Landschaft.

  7. I've travelled a great deal of Europe tbut his area by far is one of the most overpriced for out of season I can only imagine Christmas season prices…great video

  8. Oberammergau is the phone of the Passion Play which the villagers perform every ten years in thanksgiving for the Plague not killing the inhabitants.

  9. A great video ! Lots of beautiful natural scenery and beautiful towns and villages . Everything looks so clean and neat . Thank you again for the tour .

  10. Another exquisite video ❤ I love that you usually do some night time filming as well. 👍🇨🇦

  11. Wow! That was a great video. What a winter wonderland. Loved the restaurant and pub views. Food looked amazing. Nice towns and those lake reflections are incredible! And don’t get me started on those pizzas! 🍕😂👍📸🍺

  12. Really enjoyed this video. I used to live in Germany and visited this area soooo many time. The area is always beautiful no matter the time of year. Thanxs for the views.

  13. Incredible! The Bavarian Alps are filled with such breathtaking beauty! Truly Spectacular! The Village of Mittenwald is so quaint & charming! The buildings & Shops there are just lovely! The Church was really magnificent! It is so beautiful inside with such a beautiful ceiling! The scenery all around the area is absolutely stunning! Such a wonderful place! Thank you for sharing this delightful experience! Blessings to you both!

  14. Firstly, I'm quite envious that Germany/Austria is a 'weekend getaway' for you! For us it was five hours from San Diego to Newark, New Jersey, and then another ten hours to Koln (Cologne). As an American who has watched too many movies, was quite surprised when the only way we knew we'd gone from German to Austria was a large welcome sign. The winter views are just stunning; thank you for including so many terrific scenes of the waterfalls, lake, and mountains. We visited in summer, and stayed in Bad Gastein (a bit northeast from where you stayed). It was the off season for that ski resort town, and we were able to take the train into Salzburg. The town was almost vertical, with winding roads that made you feel as if you were in a James Bond movie. The Italian food in Austria was excellent, though we Southern California natives were not impressed with their version of Mexican food. We visited both Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau, so it was fun to see a bit of Linderhoff. Cheers!

  15. Very beautiful! My husband & I are planning a trip within the next few years to the Bavaria region. England is still my favorite….lol! Love y'all❤🙂

  16. Loved this video, Bavaria looks stunning, especially with the snow. Thanks as always with the quality of the video and all the history and information you provide.
