ふらっと出かけた場所を紹介しようと思います。
2022年11月に香川県観音寺市にある「琴弾八幡宮」に行きました。

琴弾八幡宮
琴弾公園入口の大鳥居から、381段の石段を上がると本殿があります。
いわれによると、大宝3年（703年）、嵐の過ぎ去った夜に、海岸に一隻の船が現れ、妙なる琴の調べにうっとりした人々が、琴の主を船とともに山頂にひきあげ、神殿を建て、「琴弾八幡宮」を祀ったといわれています。
源義経が源平合戦の勝利祈願をしたことで知られ、今も義経参詣の願文、神馬の奉納などの史実、史跡が残っています。
それゆえに、勝負の神様ともいわれ、受験戦争に勝ちたい学生など、多くの参拝者が訪れます。
また毎年10月には琴弾八幡宮大祭が開催され、9台のちょうさが奉納されます。
I would like to introduce some places I went to on a whim.
In November 2022, I went to Kotohiki Hachiman Shrine in Kan’onji City, Kagawa Prefecture.
Kotohiki Hachiman Shrine
From the large torii gate at the entrance to Kotohiki Park, you can climb 381 stone steps to reach the main shrine.
According to legend, in the third year of the Taiho era (703), on a night after a storm, a ship appeared on the coast, and people who were enchanted by the beautiful melody of the koto pulled the koto’s owner along with the ship to the top of the mountain, built a shrine, and enshrined Kotohiki Hachiman Shrine.
It is known that Minamoto no Yoshitsune prayed for victory in the Genpei War, and historical facts and historical sites such as Yoshitsune’s prayers and the dedication of a sacred horse still remain.
For this reason, it is also said to be the god of victory, and many worshippers, including students who want to win the entrance exam war, visit the shrine.
In addition, the Kotohiki Hachiman Shrine Grand Festival is held every October, and nine chosa are dedicated.
