This is NOT a promotional video. I pay for all of my flights and hotels (and I always tell you how much!) so I can be as honest and impartial as possible. I do not receive any special treatment that wouldnโt otherwise be publicly accessible, in fact, the hotels and airlines have no idea about my visit and that’s the way I like it!

Thank you som much Kevin for this series. Very entertaining and educational!
@8:14 yeah he was definitly looking after Number 1. Noticeable uptick in this sort of behaviour on planes, trains and buses post COVID
Sounds like you got the full BA experience
On my 1 hour, yes only an hour flight, TAP flight MAD-LIS in biz I received a generous pour of wine and a very tasty meal on board plus the TAP shared lounge in MAD was better then expected.
BA has reached the bottom. Nothing left to scratch away anymore.
The plane your on is one of British Midlands old aircraft. There are much nicer and comfy seats on the BA bought A320s!
"Full service?" on BA? Kevin, it's not even February, let alone April 1st!
Did it ever occur to you Kevin, that you ars just too tall. ๐
I liked your reference to Imperial at the beginning of the video and that passenger place the fake Versace bags their just to such off.
Rome Airport Fiumicino โค I think the prettiest one in Europe โค
(Saying that while working at Schiphol ๐)
Those A319 are the hardest working planes in the sky.
Virgin is always my preferrred choice for UK airlines. BA is….hit-and-miss. Its a roll of the dice on whether you get decent service on BA. Sometimes yes, sometimes no.
Another well-done video with the right amount of classic Kevin wit/sarcasm ๐. What specific bag are you using as your carry-on for this flight? I'm looking for a new carry-on and think yours looks pretty nice.
Thank You โ๏ธ
You said you don't mind the fact that food and drink being not complimentary are fine in your books and you would rather pay $10 for a meal of your choice. I can understand your logic and I also think it does avoid unnecessary waste. However, what is the difference between a low cost carrier and flagship carrier ? If you are flying a low cost airline and you are paying for a carry-on bag and a suitcase with easy jet or ryan air will result to the same price as a full fare short haul flight of any euro economy class. Being served tea, coffee, beverages and sandwiches or snacks do make a difference in regards to the price paid and the feeling of flying a proper airline.
British Airways really are ****. Gone are the days when you were excited to be flying with our (then) flag carrier. Why would you fly to Istanbul with BA in Club Europe when you can chill in a lie flat bed on a long haul 777 or 350 with TK who also offer free full service meal, bar and entertainment in Economy; this applies to many other European cities/carriers. I mean they really push the water bottle and crisp or small cake to some lengthy/borderline European destinations and North Africa. They even use the A320 family to AMM and CAI the latter once served by 747 with F/J/Y. Always a better option with another carrier in general. I would always avoid BA short/medium haul as low cost down the back with other LCC's shining much stronger along with a smile and on time
Unfortunately the clueless bean counters at BA are stripping away everything that stood it apart from other airlines. I always find the crew to be amazing to be fair, can't be easy for them.
Appreciate I just need to rethink my flight that I wanna fly to Spain from London with BA which I have never tried before.
Fake Gucci MF… ๐คฃ
I hope someone in management at BA watches this! No excuse for such lousy service from the cabin crew.Thankfully here in Ireland we have Aer Lingus with friendly and decent service throughout.
Mmmmm BA I used to fly them often, but my 20 or so flights each year are now on airlines that offer a bit more Qatar Singapore EVA, Virgin & Turkish sometimes too but BA noway…
"Fake Gucci" line got me ๐. Love your sarcasm
Beautiful to look at and almost pleasant is the best description of a Campari soda I've ever heard ๐
Miserable bunchโฆisnโt that BA in general.
always fun to be back in lhr.
The beggining ๐คฃ
01:44 "Leave everything in"? Man, the day they say that at the security checkpoint at an Indian airport, Iโll know Iโve died and gone to heaven
04:20 It is a bit weird to see an art installation that's supposed to make people think about "our society taking an excessively stressful, consumerist and compromising turn" at an international airport ๐คจ
08:25 amen ๐
11:31 bumpy flight?
Aha! Welcome to Euro flying. You were unlucky enough to be onboard one of the older A319's inherited from British Midland Airways (bmi) when BA took over. Those seats are the original Midland seats with BA leather covers added atop, explaining the clunky and messy appearance. The seat covers appear to be ill-fitting. My experiences of BA crew are much the same as yours; they're either over the top brilliant, or downright miserable. Looking forward to your next one in F!
The budget airlines will forever dominate Europe. Not the best experience, but for the price hard to complain.
Wow, that Plaza Premium Lounge @ FCO is the best Iโve ever seen. Those that Iโve used on my usual long haul are woeful , small, uninspiring and poor offering of food (not that food really matters unless youโve a long lay-over). Also FCO (not been there for some years)looks much nicer than LHR. B.A. sucks these days, dropped them a few years ago in favour of the much better A.F.
Just remember ABBA… Anything But British Airways.
Didnโt know BA still have A319โs I thought they got rid of them
I think we all have a horror story from BA!
I think your overall tone is much too positive. This is a rip-off with shameful "Eurobusiness" without an inch of service. Actually this flight (as could many Lufthansa ones for as well!) is the perfect example of a legacy airline charging super high prices and offering service as if they were a lowcost carrier.
Thank you for your amazing review of Rome ! 2:17 I would add Italy in as well (In 1947, Italy united all its airlines to form Alitalia). ๐ฎ๐น
Also: very wrong stats on FCO. The most served route is by far the daily shuttle to Milan Linate (over 25 flights per day).
