  1. Correction the City walls are 7 metres high in places, less in others.

  5. I love seeing all these lovely buildings and villages. Im always in awe of the magnificent work in cathedrals and how long they have stood the test of time. Thanks once again for all your effort. Cheers Cheryl 🙂

  6. Thanks guys! We really enjoyed this video!😊
Beautiful area and lovely to see a bustling High Street.
That was quite a trek you took us on. Thank you…We feel like we have been away for a weekend too. The pub you stayed in looked lovely. Sooo many places of interest and we spotted plenty of dogs. 😊

  7. Chichester has so many layers of history. Thank you for teaching me to say the city's name correctly; I was butchering it. Please keep up the great work.

  8. That is really a lovely village The house at about 50 minutes, gorgeous ! Probably very old, with tatched roof and these little windows upstairs. You also seem to have had a beautiful place to stay. Food looked superb ! You know it will be good if there are Roman settlements, they knew where life was good ! Thanks for sharing. Love each of your posts !

  9. Spent a very enjoyable week in Chichester about 25 years ago, though it started off rather inauspiciously by arriving in the middle of a downpour. Brightened up later to be able to roam about the city and use it as a base to tour along the south coast visiting Fishbourne Roman Palace, Arundel, Hastings and Battle plus the Weald and Downland at Singleton and Bignor Roman Palace with some local friends. Encountered those muddy country backroads at the time too. 😉😊

  10. As usual, we enjoy your videos. But this one stands out. It was very in depth and full of interesting information and history. Thank you gentlemen, we appreciate the work you put into the videos.

  11. I don't know what you do in the rest of your life but you are a superb guide and explainer-of-history — thanks as always for a lovely time 💚💙💜

  12. This is wonderful. I was in Chichester and had no idea how big and historical it is. Thank you so much.

  13. Another outstanding overview of remarkable city. Each time I watch a new video I feel like I'm journeying back in time in the company of old friends. You guys are amazing!

  14. I love all the beautiful old buildings in England. The Chichester cathedral is magnificent although I wasn't keen on the modern tapestries. I couldn't work out what they were depicting. I'm afraid I'm a real traditionalist. Thanks for the interesting tour.

  16. Enjoyed seeing that the custodians of the cathedral display so many layers of history in that magnificent place. This town was blessed with a variety of talented craftsmen over many centuries. Glad to see the beautiful quality that is apparently still valued. Thanks for the tour and history lesson. Topnotch 😊

  17. Interestingly the remains of the westgate were visible for a short time last year during the works going on.

  18. My wife and I love Bosham. If you walk back from the water front there's a lovely hotel called the Millstream. It's away from all the crowds that you tend to get on a sunny day and you can sit at a table on the lawn area out front with a drink and a light meal and watch the world go by.
