  1. Addition for the number 9, Kumamoto. Or precisely the Hitoyoshi City. It's also known because it inspired an anime called Natsume Yuujinchou. As I remember there are even a Collaboration between the place and the series to promote the Tourist attraction there.

One of the most popular place that related to Natsume is the Tengu Bridge & Amamiya Shrine. Natsume & his friend always passed the bridge to go to school and even had a moment with Yokai at the bridge. As for the Amamiya Shrine, it was featured in the Opening of the 4th and 6th Season of Natsume Yuujinchou!

    Great Video!

  2. One of my favorite places I visited in Japan was a small knife maker's shop in Kyoto. Didn't speak a word of Japanese and he didn't speak a word of English but somehow he explained everything and I understood and left there with 4 amazing chef knives with my name engraved on them.

  3. Truelly a superb video, I thoroughly enjoyed it while also finding out lots of interesting and beautiful things about Japan! Love it's rich history and unique culture! Hugs from London!๐Ÿ‘‹

  4. We missed out on Nagano last year but I think after this video it just HAS to make it on the itinery for this year! Many compelling arguments ๐Ÿ˜‰

  5. Aki, you videos are so beautiful and full of good energy โค and Kyoko-san is so amazing ๐Ÿ˜ Thank you for existing and making our lives a little more beautiful ๐Ÿค— I really hope I can visit Japan in autumn this year

  6. I've been watching Aki's channel for a very long time, but I think this is my favorite video he's posted. Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto are wonderful, but this is the Japan that I love. ๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿ’–

  7. Thank you both for the most interesting Japanese tour from my home. ๐Ÿ˜Š I enjoyed this very much. It was also fun to see connections to the Ghibli movies and โ€œYour Nameโ€. โค

  8. Japan is calling me!๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿคญ๐Ÿ‡ฏ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ—พ๐Ÿœ๐ŸกThank you for this informative and beautiful video Samurai Matcha ๐Ÿต San!๐Ÿ’–

  9. Thank you for these lovely ideas. I was last year in Japan and I was very impressed. I want to go there again and I bookmarked your video. There were so many wonderful places you showed us in the video. Thank you very much!

  11. Hey Aki!
I'm Going to japan! Any places you would recommend?
After seeing the video, I wood like to go to Hiroshima first. Then, maybe Gofu! That one seems very pleasant.
I didn't think I'd like to go to the one that inspired the movie Princess Mononokeโ€ฆI have never seen that movie! My favorite is Ponyo!
Thanks for your videos, Samurai Matcha!

  12. Those photos are so pretty! ใ“ใ‚Œใ‚‰ใฏใจใฆใ‚‚ใใ‚Œใ„ใชใ—ใ‚ƒใ—ใ„ใ‚“ใงใ™ใญ๏ผ๏ฝž

I am so here for this lovely collaboration! I definitely want to see all the old architecture and street styling in Okayama. It looks like a place I'd be happy to get lost in.

All of these places seem so gorgeous. Kyoko-san has a real gift for capturing beautiful images on camera. Amazing. And the app she made to keep track of it all is a wonderful idea. Definitely convenient.

That cedar tree looks like it could rival the size of some of the larger Redwood trees in California. It must be very old. I hope it stands for many more years to come.

I appreciate you sharing this compilation with all the gorgeous pictures. I want to visit all these places, now. You've made them too appealing. <3

  13. Aki, you are great in English, but you are so cute and pleasant speaking Japanese ๐Ÿคฉ. All your video are Super๐Ÿ‘ Thank You ๐Ÿ—ป

  14. Thank you both so much! I smiled through this whole video! I hope i get to see at least one if these places in Japan some day โค

  15. Thank you! Love both lists! Iโ€™ve been grateful to visit most of the places on your two lists. I am so happy to see Okinawa on your list! The Ryukyu Islands are amazing! So different than the mainland.

  16. You picked some really nice places. I loved Hiroshima, too. Ise and Beppu were already on my list for my next visit in Japan. ๆฅฝใ—ใฟใงใ™๐Ÿ˜Š

  17. Aki Sensei, Kyoto is the city I most want to visit ๐Ÿฅ‡ and Sapporo, Hokkaido is my ๐Ÿฅˆsilver medal Japanese city I want to visit. I want to snow ski โ›ท๏ธ. Tokyo does not interest me. I want to hear the Kansai accent in Kyoto too. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ‡ฏ๐Ÿ‡ต

  18. Hi Aki, greetings from Canada (Ottawa)! My husband and I have visited Japan twice already and seen some of the places that you mentioned โ€“ Hiroshima, Miyajima, Kanazawa, Takayama โ€“ but we would like to go again in a few years' time and see some more out-of-the-way places. This video is a great resource for us, thank you! And thank you for introducing Kyoko!

  19. Thanks for this, Aki! I visited Japan for the first time in 2024, exploring Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, and some lesser-known places in the Chubu and Kansai regions. This year, Iโ€™ll be coming back to explore Shikoku and Kyushu. Iโ€™m really looking forward to experiencing Japanโ€™s slower pace of life, with its beautiful nature and gentle people. And this video couldnโ€™t have come at a better time!

  20. Thank you. ๐Ÿ™ I am going to Japan in October for the 4th time 5 years ago was the last time I was there and I really got some inspiration from what you showed. ๐Ÿ™‚ and people go to Kumamoto the vibe there is amazing
