Maniwa City is an ideal location for the microbes that are essential for fermentation. Located in the northern part of Okayama Prefecture, the area has a fermentation culture handed down for generations thanks to the clean water and cold climate.
From sake, wine, and beer breweries to miso, soy sauce, and cheese, all kinds of fermented products are made here. “Maniwa Haccos” shares Maniwa’s food culture and is attracting attention both inside and outside of Japan.
