Summer Festivals in Hirakata, Japan! 枚方市の夏まつり
Hello and welcome back! There’s a bunch of different types of summer festivals in Japan! I’ve seen ones with ようかい (Japanese spirits), fire festivals, dance festivals, lantern festivals and much more!🏮日本には火祭り､ダンスフェスティバル、花火まつり、とか… があります。全ては楽しいです！

I went to 3 festivals in Hirakata City, Japan. The first one was a local festival in the city with food and performances from the schools.🎺 The second one was a local market (Gorokuichi) that takes place once a month; the trip was led by LINK which is a ‘circle’ at Kansai Gaidai.🍧 The last one was a huge firework festival at Yodogawa River Park where people from all over the Kansai region came to participate!🎆
If you’re in Japan, I recommend looking up some festivals! There are different festivals happening all year round. I had only seen videos of summer festivals on YouTube and shown in anime scenes. In anime, people wear Yukata and eat street food while watching fireworks. In real life, people were wearing regular clothes and it was unexpectedly crowded hahah!!
