四万温泉でも、1月14日に集落ごとにどんど焼きが実施されます。
Dondo-Yaki, a type of fire festival, is held across Japan on January 14th or 15th. It involves burning New Year’s decorations, such as pine ornaments, to send off the Toshigami, a Shinto deity who visits homes during the New Year. The flames symbolize gratitude and farewell to the deity.
