SilverKris Lounge (New) Singapore Airlines Business Class Changi Airport Terrminal 3 Jun 22

I spend some time at the SilverKris lounge, Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 3 in June 2022, before my flight to Melbourne, Australia.

This was the new flagship Singapore Airline Lounge, with a section for Business class and a separate section for First class section. I visit the Business Class section today. As all the lounges in Terminal 3 are now opened (including the new First Class, Private Room and Krisflyer Gold), the SilverKris lounge was no longer as crowded as it used to be earlier this year. This lounge welcomes passengers flying in Business Class on Singapore Airlines and Star Alliance carriers out of Changi Airport.

The lounge is much bigger than the previous one. Now that we are in endemic Covid, the hot food area has a decent buffet, as well as 2 hot food stations where laksa, mee siam and spaghetti bolognaise were available to order. The buffet had Nasi Lemak, selection of dim sum, ee Fu noodles, some type of pasta and lasagne.

Champagne – the lounge served Piper Heidseick. There were also red and white wine dispensing machines, as well as a machine that dispensed Tiger Beer . I had quite a lot to eat that evening as I came to the lounge to take my dinner. The french fries and fried chicken were pretty addictive!

The lounge also had a tended bar where you could ask for any drink that they could prepare. I asked for a Singapore Sling but was told that they did not have it. Surprising. Anyway, I took a gin and tonic.

There were many different areas to dine in, sit and just chill and relax before the flight. As all the lounges in Changi Terminal 3 were now open, the SilverKris didn’t feel too crowded. In fact, it was a very pleasant visit.
