Torioi Festival 四万温泉の鳥追祭り #shorts
毎年、1月14日は、四万温泉を含めた中之条町に古くから伝わる祭り「鳥追い祭り」です。
The Torioi Festival dates back to the early Edo period (1600s). This event was originally held to pray for the expulsion of pests and birds that harm crops. At Shima Onsen, two large taiko drums are paraded through the streets of the hot spring town, filling the air with their rhythmic beats.
The largest Torioi Festival in the region is held around Nakanojo Station, where 11 drums parade through the town in a lively and energetic celebration.
