When using public transportation
From Kyoto City, take the JR Sagano Line and get off at Sonobe Station. Then transfer to a Nantan City bus (bound for Miyama) and get off at the “Kayabuki-no-Sato” bus stop, which is only a few minutes’ walk to the village. The trip takes about 2 hours from Kyoto Station.
When using a car
From Kyoto City, it is about an hour and a half drive via National Route 162. A parking lot is maintained nearby, making it convenient to visit by car. Please allow plenty of time for your visit, as the area can be crowded, especially during the fall foliage season and the snowy winter months.
