一年の幸福を願う行事「七福神めぐり」
2025年1月4日、川崎市七福神巡りをしてきました。
お参りを楽しみながら祈願すると、七福神の幸福が授かれると言われています★
The Seven Lucky Gods Tour, an event to pray for happiness in the year ahead.
On January 4, 2025, I made the Kawasaki City Seven Lucky Gods Tour.
It is said that if you enjoy visiting and praying, you will be granted happiness by the Seven Gods of Good Fortune!
“Shichifukujin”: Japan’s Seven Lucky Gods
Shichifukujin is the collective name for seven deities: Daikokuten, Bishamonten, Ebisuten, Jurojin, Fukurokuju, Benzaiten, and Hoteison.
The Shichifukujin can be found at temples all over Japan throughout the year, but it is the New Year when these lucky gods really come into play. During the first seven days of the year, the gods hop aboard the Takarabune and descend to earth bringing the prospect of luck and good fortune. Although each god previously existed individually, they exploded in popularity as a ‘lucky super-group’ of seven in the 17th century. Now, across Japanese New Year, people keep pictures of the lucky gods under their pillows and do their best to visit them all at local temples for a slice of the luck in the year to come.
●寿老神／長寿院無量寺
「長命」
中国の長寿の神様。
杖に結ばれた軸物は、人命の長さについてを記し、
伴っている鹿は、長寿の守りとされている神様です。
●恵比寿神／大楽院
「清心」
出雲の国つくりの神である大国主命（おおくにぬしのみこと）の御子とも伝えられ、
昔より海の守り神として烏帽子をかぶり、右手に釣竿をもちエビス顔をなされている神様です。
●大黒天／西明寺
「財産」
福徳円満の印度の神様で、裕福を表わし、打出の小槌をもち、
身を粉にして働く者には宝を打ち出す槌であり、
なまけ者には頭を打つ槌といわれ、働き者の味方の神様です。
●毘沙門天／東樹院
「栄光」
印度の神様で、別名 多聞天とも言われ、仏教の四天王の一人。
右手に持たれている多宝塔で限りない財宝を授ける神様です。
●福禄寿／安養寺
「人望」
中国の神様で、人望を表し、背丈がひくく、頭が長い。
特に、福（幸）禄（特）寿（命）の三つの福徳を授ける神様です。
●弁財天／宝蔵寺
「愛情」
七福神唯一の女神。
印度の神様で、愛敬を示し、芸術の神 、商売繁盛を表して、
琵琶や宝剣を持っている神様です。
●布袋尊／大楽寺
「寛容」
中国の神様で、寛容と和合を指し、大きな袋を背に杖を持ち
大きな腹を出して団扇を持ち、笑いの神様として親しまれています。
