平成３０（２０１８）年は、明治元（１８６８）年から起算して満１５０年の年に当たります。「明治１５０年」関連施策の一環として、国と地方公共団体との連携の下、神奈川県大磯町に明治記念大磯邸園を設置します（平成２９年１１月２１日閣議決定）。明治期の立憲政治の確立等に貢献した先人の業績等を後世に伝えるため、歴史的遺産である旧滄浪閣（伊藤博文邸跡・旧李王家別邸）等を中心とする建物群及び緑地の一体的な保存・活用を図ります。

2018 marks the 150th anniversary of the start of the Meiji era (1868). As part of the “150th anniversary of the Meiji era” related measures, the Meiji Memorial Oiso Teien will be established in Oiso Town, Kanagawa Prefecture, in cooperation with the national and local governments (Cabinet decision, November 21, 2017). In order to convey to future generations the achievements of our predecessors who contributed to the establishment of constitutional politics in the Meiji era, we will aim to preserve and utilize the historical heritage of the buildings, centered on the former Sorokaku (the former residence of Ito Hirobumi and the former villa of the Yi royal family), as well as the green spaces in an integrated manner.
