⁴ᴷ Kochi: Kochi Station (高知県: 高知駅) – Japan Walking Tour (January, 2025)
I’m picking up where I left off last December, resuming my plan to visit various cities in Shikoku. I took a ferry straight from Tokyo to Tokushima, and from there made my way to Kōchi Prefecture.
Maybe it’s because it’s the day before Coming of Age Day (which seems to vary by region), but it felt like there were a lot of young people around. Also, I noticed quite a few more free information counters along the arcade shopping street of Obiyamachi. Has that always been the case? It also seemed like there were more people on the streets trying to attract customers.
