狐の大行列【大杉神社 あんばさま総本社】茨城県
おびただしい数の狐たちの大行列に驚きました。
大杉神社は、茨城県稲敷市阿波にある神社で、特に厄除けや金運のご利益があるとされています。地元では「あんばさま」の愛称で親しまれ、その豪華な社殿から「茨城の日光東照宮」とも呼ばれています。
大杉神社にある記述によると、神社のある地名「阿波」は「あんば」と称されてきたことから大杉神社を「あんばさま」と呼ぶようになったとのことです。

Osugi Shrine is a shrine located in Awa, Inashiki City, Ibaraki Prefecture, and is said to be particularly good for warding off evil and bringing good luck with money. It is affectionately known by the locals as “Ambasama” and is also called “Ibaraki’s Nikko Toshogu Shrine” due to its luxurious shrine.
According to the description on Osugi Shrine, the name of the place where the shrine is located, “Awa,” was originally called “Anba,” so Osugi Shrine came to be called “Ambasama.”

It is said to have been founded in the first year of Jingo Keiun (767), making it a historic shrine.
