Hotel Mystays Mt Fuji Review

Hotel Mystays Fuji Review

We stayed at Hotel Mystays Fuji for a night, with the primary intention of enjoying a scenic view of Mount Fuji during our trip. Upon booking, we were under the impression that the rooms we selected would have a view of the mountain, as suggested in the listing. However, shortly before our arrival, we were informed that such views were subject to availability. Unfortunately, despite booking two rooms, neither room had a view of Mount Fuji. Instead, both rooms were on the 2nd floor, facing the parking lot, which was disappointing. Had we known in advance that rooms with mountain views were not guaranteed, we would have considered other options.

Another issue was the lack of pillows. Our rooms were equipped with only two pillows, and when we requested additional pillows, we were told that the entire hotel had run out. This seemed odd, given that the hotel wasn’t fully booked at the time, and it left us uncomfortable during our stay.

On a positive note, the hotel is well-located for those planning to visit Mount Fuji. It’s about a 20-minute drive to the iconic Chureito Pagoda and offers easy access to other nearby attractions, including the Fuji Five Lakes area and the Fuji Subaru Line 5th Station, both approximately 30-40 minutes away by car. There are also a few convenience stores and local restaurants within walking distance.

While the hotel offers a convenient location, the experience fell short due to the misrepresentation of the room’s view and the lack of adequate amenities, such as extra pillows. It may still suit travelers who are not as focused on having a mountain view, but for us, the lack of transparency and service was a letdown.
