小田原城
神奈川県小田原市にある小田原城は、戦国時代から江戸時代にかけての日本のお城。
小田原北条氏の本拠地でした。
北条氏は1590年、秀吉の小田原征伐により戦国大名としては滅亡しました。
小田原城は春は桜の名所としても有名です。
平成の大改修で、天守閣の耐震工事が施され、展示内容もリュニューアルされています。
Odawara Castle is a Japanese castle that existed from the Sengoku to Edo periods,
located in Odawara City, Kanagawa Prefecture.
It was the headquarters of the Odawara Hojo clan.
The Hojo clan was defeated by Hideyoshi Toyotomi’s Odawara campaign in 1590,
marking the end of their reign as warlords.
Odawara Castle is also famous as a cherry blossom spot in spring.
The castle underwent a major renovation in the Heisei period, including seismic retrofitting of the main tower and a renewal of exhibits.

I like the stone walls of Japanese castles too. I cannot image the amount of work and craftsmanship necessary to shape those stones and put them in place. I also like the blue sky. We are in our rainy season and I haven't see the blue sky for many weeks. You always bring me a ray of sunshine!
