1976??? My only school trip.( I was a bad kid) Wasn't much there at the time. The place is fantastic now
Your videos just get better and better….thank you 😊
WOW. What could i say. I watched this video of this museum and i was blown away. I loved it. I feel i wish i could of lived in those times. Deffinately better than today.
Hard to believe even a video like this has everyone crawling out of the woodwork bragging about themselves, can ye stop telling the world about yourselves, nobody likes braggers 🙄🙄🙄
Wow, great! A visit is now on my bucket list!
i visited the North of England in the 1980s. I wish I had the opportunity to visit the small pit towns featured in this excellent video. Thank you so much.
This is a superb guide to Beamish: well photographed, well researched and well presented.
Every time I go to the North East I visit Beamish and it is constantly being enlarged and is changing, Its well worth the visit and the money charged, just don't expect to see it in a couple of hours you need all day .
Lovely video. Particularly like the shops, not a piece of plastic in sight, everything recyclable or compostable. We should learn from history.
Really enjoyed this video. Thank you for showing.
Would love to visit Beamish Museum . Love all the history.👍🏻😀
If labour have their way you won't have to go to museums like these, all you'll have to do is stick your head out of the window, if you can afford somewhere to live.
Excellent❤ thank you. So, so interesting. X
Before immigration
Before thatcher
Beamish is an absolutely fabulous place i spent a day there just after Christmas and ill go back again as soon asi can.
OMG so proud to be part of the United Kingdom…. BUT.. how do we stop the boats?😃any ideas?
Thank you for an amazing journey around Beamish I think I've haven't been since the days of being at school many years ago being from Hetton-Le-Hole the were many such houses like the ones in Franc's Street around in the 1970's most of them pulled early 80's leaving pockets on waste land where we used to play as kids the were left unbuilt on until very recently … Seeing them houses at Beach takes me back to many fun filled years as a kid thank you
Beamish is not Kitsch at all, It is simply (in a literal sense) the finest representation of our history. It skips Politics/kings and Queens etc. It is utterly beautiful. The past was obviously harder but strangely in many ways better.
So many years since we went to Beamish, and it'll not happen again now. Wonderful memories in a skilfully presented memorial to real life and real people
Can someone explain to me how Arithmetic is the third R ?
Love Beamish and lucky enough to live close enough to visit several times every year.
Really didn't think an hour video would do it justice but you did well in covering the majority. Well done. Would definitely say visit over two days. All the cheaper hotel chains are represented in nearby Washington, NE37 1LE, a 10 minute drive away.
Great video! Greetings from Tennessee, USA.
Good info 👍
Former beamish volunteer here. One of the greatest places I volunteered for.
St Helen’s church was from Eston Cemetery. All of my family is buried there. I walked through twice a day on the way to and from my sixth form college in the 1980s. I’m so glad it went to Beamish.
Beautiful ❤
Delightful to spend the day with you in Beamish (on YouTube)😅
The bus what happens to conductor passengers in winter
You must go back to Beamish and show us all you didnt have time for this go round. I would love to see this,as I live in the US, i wont get to. Kove your tours and excellent filming. ❤
