【Japan Shikoku Hnero#7】Let’s tour Tokushima, the last prefecture on the Shikoku Pilgrimage

You can watch this video with English subtitles by pressing the subtitle button.

A pilgrimage to 88 temples spread across the four prefectures of Shikoku in Japan is called a “henro.” I rented a Super Cub and made the 1,300 km pilgrimage over a period of 10 days.

My Shikoku pilgrimage has finally arrived in Tokushima, the last prefecture!
After driving 140 kilometers from Kochi, the starting point of the pilgrimage, I am already feeling exhausted from the morning.

The temple Kakurinji is called “Henro Korogashi(means:hard to get there)” because of its high altitude,
I dared to take the Super Cub instead of the ropeway and had a hard time.
There are many places to visit in Tokushima Prefecture.

In the evening, I enjoyed Tokushima ramen, sudachi(kind of lemon) sours, and other Tokushima delicacies.

The Shinmachi Boardwalk, with its beautiful lights on the river, was also wonderful.

I will make the pilgrimage to Tokushima, the last prefecture on my Shikoku Henro, to the best of my ability!

Finally, the next installment of “My First Pilgrimage” will be the final one!
