Family Beach Camping with TOYOTA Land Cruiser 250

Family camping on the Kunisaki Peninsula, Oita, Japan. Once again, we are camping with our loved TOYOTA Land Cruiser 250 (Prado).

Winter 2024 started in Japan, and many places are getting snow, even Kyushu. Without adding too much camping gear and trying to keep our camping as simple as possible, we decided to head to Noasobihama Camping Ground, a beach camping ground. The campsite was clean, right next to the beach and somewhat simple (well, a heated toilet seat was a luxury for our camping style, haha). Our very friendly neighbouring camping couple was on a Land Cruiser 250, too! It was lovely to see other Land Cruiser 250 owners enjoying camping.

One of our son’s birthdays was also celebrated on this camping trip, and we had a birthday cake for him (one of the many he got, haha). We hope it became a memorable birthday for him.

The weather was lovely, and we saw some beautiful stars, followed by a shiny sunrise from the Pacific Ocean.

On our way home, we detoured to pay some respects to Usa Jingu, one of Japan’s historically significant Shinto shrines. Our boys learned a little bit about Shinto and Buddhism in Japan.

I hope you enjoy the relaxing images and sounds of nature in Japan.
