比較的に家賃が安い、交通の便などが良いなどの理由から外国人居住者が増えており、近隣の川口市と同様にして、トルコ系クルド人や中国本土の中国人などが居住している。トルコ系クルド人などからは「ワラビスタン」と呼ばれることがある。
Warabi Station
The number of foreign residents is increasing due to the relatively low rent and good transportation access, and like the neighboring city of Kawaguchi, it is home to Turkish Kurds and Chinese from mainland China. The Turkish Kurds sometimes call it “Warabistan.”
