【世界遺産】今帰仁城跡 （Nakijin Castle Ruins）／沖縄県今帰仁村：Nakijin village, Okinawa, japan
I visited Nakijin Castle Ruins, a historic gusuku site located on the Motobu Peninsula in the northern part of Okinawa’s main island.
In Okinawa, “Castle” is pronounced “Gusuku.”
Nakijin Castle Ruins is registered as a World Heritage Site as part of the “Gusuku and Related Properties of the Kingdom of the Ryukyu.”
The castle walls, stretching for about 1,500 meters, were built to match the natural topography, forming beautiful curves.
Many tourists in the Motobu area go to the Churaumi Aquarium, but Nakijin Castle Ruins is impressive and the scenery is majestic, so you can enjoy it even without prior knowledge.

沖縄では「城」を「グスク」と読みます。
今帰仁城跡は「琉球王国のグスク及び関連遺産群」として世界遺産に登録されています。
約1,500メートルにもおよぶ城壁は、自然の地形に合わせて作られ、美しい曲線となっています。
本部エリアを観光する人は美ら海水族館に行く人が多いと思いますが、今帰仁城跡は迫力がありますし、景色が雄大なので予備知識がなくても楽しめると思います。
