Some people swear that FUJIYA has the best KATSUDON fried pork cutlet rice in Toyama. It is located near AL Plaza behind Kosugi Station. It is widely popular during lunch time. Elderly, families, workers and housewives all go here. So there is a crowd during peak hours. The KATSUDON is exactly as you hoped for: juicy pork cutlets, runny egg omelet, saucy rice… There are also many other menu items. The stir-fried ginger pork, sashimi bowl, and deep-fried meats and vegetables rice bowl all seemed to be going around, too, though not as much as the KATSUDON. The pork cutlets are a little thinner compared to other places I’ve been to, however. There are only tatami floor seating and counter seats, be warned. I got a counter seat as I went alone.
