兵庫県香美町の余部鉄橋「空の駅」をご紹介します。
明治45年の完成以降、JR山陰本線の運行をさせてきた余部鉄橋は、平成22年8月に新しくコンクリート橋に建て替えられました。
その際、JR餘部駅側の3本の橋脚は現地保存され、余部鉄橋「空の駅」展望施設として楽しめます。
地上から鉄橋へは”余部クリスタルタワー”でつながれています。
昔使われた鉄橋の跡も保存され、その上を歩いたり、鉄橋から眺める日本海の景色を楽しむことができます。

I am introducing Amarube Railway Bridge in Kami Town, Hyogo Prefecture.
The Amarube Railway Bridge, which has carried the JR Sanin Main Line since its completion in 1912. It was replaced with a new concrete bridge in August 2010.
The three piers on the JR Amarube Station side were preserved on-site and can be enjoyed as “Sky Station”.
The remains of the old Railway Bridge have also been preserved, and you can walk on it and enjoy the view of the Sea of Japan from the bridge.
