【神社巡りVlog】山吹神社・山吹御前の墓（愛媛県伊予市）[Vlog] Yamabuki Shrine and the Grave of Yamabuki Gozen (IyoCity, Ehime)
山吹御前は源平合戦の頃、木曽義仲を支えた便女で、地元では義仲亡き後、この地に逃れて亡くなったと伝わります。
ひときわ目を引く山吹神社の社殿の彫刻は、明治25年（1892年）、主に四国の神社建築を手がけていた「長州大工」の手によるものです。
山吹御前の墓とされる五輪塔の伝承を後世に伝えるため、地元の有志が建立しました。
伊予市中山町佐礼谷（されだに）はホタルの里として有名です。
かつてこの近くに親戚の家があったため、子供の頃から神社とお墓の看板を見て存在は知っていましたが、やっと訪れることができました。
こんな小さな山間で素晴らしい宮大工の技と出会えて感無量です。

Yamabuki Gozen was a concubine who supported Kiso Yoshinaka during the Genpei War, and it is said that she fled to this place and died after Yoshinaka’s death.
The carvings on the shrine building of Yamabuki Shrine, which is particularly eye-catching, were made in 1892 by a “Chōshū carpenter” who mainly worked on shrine construction in Shikoku.
It was built by local volunteers to pass on the legend of the Gorin-to, which is said to be the grave of Yamabuki Gozen, to future generations.
Saredani, Nakayama-cho, Iyo City, is famous as a firefly village.
I had been coming and going on the prefectural road nearby since I was a child because my relatives’ house was there, and I knew there was a sign for the shrine and the grave, but I was finally able to visit it.
I am overwhelmed with emotion to encounter the wonderful skills of the shrine carpenters in such a small mountain area.
