This is a video of the memorial fireworks and the “Special Drone Show” commemorating the 70th anniversary of the merger of Marumori Town, Igu District, Miyagi Prefecture Japan, held on October 11, 2024.
Typhoon Hagibis, which occurred in the sea east of the Mariana Islands on October 6, 2019, made landfall in Shizuoka Prefecture on October 12 without losing its strength, and then turned into a tropical cyclone off the eastern coast of Sanriku at noon on the 13th.
In Marumori Town, Miyagi Prefecture, rain caused by the autumn rain front began falling on the 11th, followed by very heavy rain from the evening of the 12th through the early hours of the 13th.
The Abukuma River rose 8.56 meters from the start of the rain to reach 23.44 meters, and the Kijio River rose 6.74 meters from the start of the rain to reach 7.11 meters.
In addition, the prefectural Uchikawa, Shinkawa, and Gofukudani rivers all collapsed in a total of 18 places, causing serious flooding damage within the town.
This heavy rain also caused human casualties, with 10 precious lives lost and one person remaining missing.
Flooding also caused extensive damage to homes, with a total of 1,073 homes left with scars when flooding above and below the floor level is combined.
The day that suffered devastating damage from the 2019 East Japan Typhoon was designated “Marumori Town Memorial Day,” and a memorial service was held to pay tribute to the victims of the typhoon and to pass on their memories to future generations, as well as to launch memorial fireworks and hold a special drone show featuring 200 drones.

2024年10月11日に宮城県伊具郡丸森町で開催した、鎮魂の花火と丸森町合併70周年記念「スペシャルドローンショー」の映像です。
令和元年(2019年)10月6日にマリアナ諸島の東海上で発生した台風19号は、勢力を維持したまま10月12日に静岡県に上陸後、13日12時に三陸沖東部で温帯低気圧に変わりました。
宮城県丸森町では、11日に秋雨前線の影響による雨が降り出した後の、12日夕方から13日未明にかけては非常に激しい雨となり、阿武隈川で降り始めから8.56m上昇し 23.44m、雉子尾川で降り始めから6.74m上昇し7.11mを記録したほか、県管理の内川、新川及び五福谷川において計18箇所が決壊するなどし、町内に深刻な浸水被害が発生しました。
この大雨により人的被害も発生し、10名の尊い命が犠牲になり、1名が行方不明となりました。
また、浸水による住家被害も多く、床上浸水と床下浸水を合わせると合計1,073件の住宅に爪痕を残しております。

令和元年東日本台風の甚大な被害を受けた日を「丸森町鎮魂の日」と定め、台風の犠牲者に対する追悼の意を表し、記憶を風化させることなく後世に伝えるための追悼式の他、鎮魂の花火の打ち上げと、ドローン200機によるスペシャルドローンショーが実施されました。
