宮崎WALK（美々津　重要伝統的建物群を歩く）

宮崎県日向市の美々津は、神武東遷の伝説がある地であり、江戸時代、高鍋藩の港町として発展した地区です。河内屋など廻船業者が瀬戸内や大阪方面を取引先として商売し、繁栄し美々津千軒と呼ばれていたそうです。
地区内には、江戸時代末期～昭和初期にかけて建てられた伝統的な町屋が残り、当時の面影を伝えています。
今回、夏の暑い時期に、美々津の街並みを歩いて撮影した動画をアップします。

Mimitsu in Hyuga City, Miyazaki Prefecture, is the site of the legend of Emperor Jimmu’s eastern expedition, and during the Edo period, the area developed as a port town for the Takanabe domain. Shipping companies such as Kawachiya prospered, doing business with clients in the Seto Inland Sea and Osaka, and the area was known as Mimitsu Senken.
Traditional townhouses built from the end of the Edo period to the early Showa period remain in the area, conveying vestiges of that time.
