【紅葉2024】今年初開催!!四国遍路霊場 夜間特別拝観ライトアップ!!ぶらり旅 第481回「香川県:根香寺&白峯寺」-アクセス,駐車場,お遍路,四国,絶景,見頃,シャトルバス-

ふらっと出かけた場所を紹介しようと思います。
2024年11月に香川県高松市にある「根香寺」と坂出市にある「白峯寺」に行きました。

・四国遍路霊場 夜間特別拝観ライトアップ 2024

四国八十八ヶ所霊場の2つの白峯寺と根香寺において初めて夜間特別拝観を実施。
秋の紅葉をライトアップで彩り、普段は見ることのできない重要文化財を特別公開します。

18:00〜21:00

料金
前売券：各寺1,400円、両寺2,300円(当日のみ有効)
当日券：各寺1,500円、両寺2,500円(当日のみ有効)

・根香寺

五色台の青峰山中にあり、深い緑に包まれた寺。
入唐前の弘法大師がこの地を訪れ、五つの峰に金剛界曼荼羅の五智如来を感得され、五大明王をまつり花蔵院（かぞういん）を建立しました。
後に天長9年（832）大師の甥の智証大師が当山を訪れ、山の鎮守である市ノ瀬明神の神託により、不思議な香を放つ霊木を刻んで千手観音像を刻み、これを本尊として千手院（せんじゅいん）を創建、この2院を総称して根香寺と号しました。

・白峯寺

白峯寺は香川県坂出市から高松市またがる五色台の白峯山中腹の標高280m付近にある真言宗御室派の寺院で、弘法・智証の両大師により約1200年前に開創された四国第81番霊場の古刹です。
その境内は瀬戸内海国立公園に定められる豊かな自然に囲まれ、特に春は桜、夏は紫陽花、秋は紅葉が有名であり、悠久の歴史を受けつぐお堂が立ち
並ぶ信仰の聖地です。
また境内の重要文化財に指定されている各お堂には開運厄除・身体健康などの十二支の守り本尊さまをお祀りしており、「えと守り本尊の寺」として広く信仰されています。
古来より、ご本尊千手観音菩薩さまは人々を種々の災難から守護してくださる身代わり観音さまとして、また当山の守護神である霊験あらたかな日本八天狗の一狗、白峯大権現（相模坊）さまは家内安全、商売繁盛、勝運吉祥の神様として、崇徳天皇さまは芸能成就、学業成就の神様として信仰されています。

In November 2024, I visited Nekoji Temple in Takamatsu City, Kagawa Prefecture, and Hakuhoji Temple in Sakaide City.

・Shikoku Pilgrimage Sites Nighttime Special Illumination 2024

For the first time, nighttime special viewing will be held at Hakuhoji Temple and Nekoji Temple, two of the 88 Shikoku Pilgrimage Sites.

The autumn leaves will be illuminated, and important cultural properties that are not usually open to the public will be open to the public.

Period: Fri. 15-Sun. 17, Fri. 22-Sun. 24 Nov. 2024

Time: 18:00-21:00

Price: Advance tickets: 1,400 yen for each temple, 2,300 yen for both temples (valid only on the day)

Tickets on the day: 1,500 yen for each temple, 2,500 yen for both temples (valid only on the day)

*Free for elementary school students and younger

・Nekoji Temple

A temple surrounded by deep greenery, located in the Seiho mountains of Goshikidai.

Before entering China, Kobo Daishi visited this place and was inspired by the Five Wisdom Buddhas of the Kongokai Mandala on the five peaks, and built Kazo-in Temple to worship the Five Great Wisdom Kings.
Later, in 832, Daishi’s nephew, Chisho Daishi, visited the mountain and, following a divine revelation from Ichinose Myojin, the guardian deity of the mountain, carved a Thousand-Armed Kannon statue out of a sacred tree that gave off a mysterious fragrance, and founded Senjuin with this as the principal image, and these two temples were collectively called Nekoji.

・Shirahoji Temple

Shirahoji Temple is a temple of the Omuro school of Shingon Buddhism located at an altitude of 280m on the middle slope of Mt. Shiraho in Goshikidai, which straddles Sakaide City and Takamatsu City in Kagawa Prefecture. It is an ancient temple that was founded by the two Daishis Kobo and Chisho about 1,200 years ago and is the 81st sacred site in Shikoku.
The temple grounds are surrounded by rich nature designated as Setonaikai National Park, and are especially famous for cherry blossoms in spring, hydrangeas in summer, and autumn leaves in autumn, and are a sacred place of faith with halls that have inherited an eternal history.
Additionally, each of the halls on the temple grounds, which have been designated as Important Cultural Properties, enshrines the guardian deities of the twelve zodiac animals, who are believed to bring good fortune, ward off evil, and protect the body and soul, and the temple is widely worshipped as the “temple of the zodiac guardian deities.”
Since ancient times, the principal image, Thousand-Armed Kannon Bodhisattva, has been worshipped as a substitute Kannon deity who protects people from various disasters, and the temple’s guardian deity, Shiramine Daigongen (Sagamibo), one of the eight Tengu of Japan, is worshipped as a god of household safety, prosperity in business, and good fortune, and Emperor Sutoku is worshipped as a god of success in the arts and academic achievement.
