8K 島牧村歌島 Shimamaki Village Utashima
歌島高原は北海道の渡島半島の付け根の日本海側に突き出たコブにある。この地域の他の観光名所と比べても特に有名とはいいがたいが、バイク愛好家のツーリングでは静かな人気スポットになっている。日本海沿いの国道229号線から特に大きな看板や道標もない細い道を日本海側と反対方向に入り、目印は2本の電波塔の鉄塔。道は車2台すれ違えないほどの細さであるが、360度視界を遮るものは無く、日本海から東方向には羊蹄山まで観ることができる。
Utashima Plateau is located on the Sea of Japan side at the base of the Oshima Peninsula in Hokkaido. It is becoming a popular spot for motorcycle travelers. If you go up a narrow road in the opposite direction from the Sea of Japan from National Route 229 along the Sea of Japan, you will reach a plateau with a 360-degree view of the Sea of Japan and Mt. Yotei.
