Good morning. A refreshing start to the day.
This is Toriagejima, a small uninhabited island 16m high off the coast of Ako City, Hyogo Prefecture.

This small island is actually the border between Hyogo and Okayama prefectures.
In 1646, officials from both Bizen Province (Okayama) and Harima Province (Hyogo) met to decide the jurisdiction of the island was divided in two.
Then, in 1649, the Harima-Bizen Border Monument (Prefectural Border Monument) was erected.
The white pillar you can see halfway up the island is the Harima-Bizen Border Monument (Prefectural Border Monument).

    私は朝日が昇るのを見るのが大好きで、ちょうどうちの二階の窓から別府湾に朝日が昇るところが見えるので、休日の朝はいつも眺めています。
    その景観も、この映像で見ることのような水平線から陽が昇り一直線に無人島に陽が差し込んでいるような美しい光景には敵いません。素晴らしい眺めです。
    また無人島もとても魅力的な形をしています。断崖絶壁の反対側の砂浜・・・行って無人島生活したくなるような魅力的な島です。
