⁴ᴷ Osaka: Neyagawashi Station (大阪府: 寝屋川市駅) – Japan Walking Tour (November, 2024)
As the weather gets colder, I’m heading to western Japan. I’ll be visiting the major cities in Shikoku, but along the way, I took a walk around the area near Neyagawa City Station in Osaka Prefecture.
About 40 years ago, Neyagawa had a reputation for not being very safe, even within the Kansai region. However, walking around today, it feels more like a cozy downtown area, and I didn’t get the impression that the area around the station was unsafe. Perhaps it was more of an urban legend. Back then, many station areas had a lot of delinquents hanging around, and rumors might have gotten exaggerated over time, creating that perception.
