上桂川 と 花脊の里 │ Fall mountain village walk in Hanase , Kyoto
森林が多くを占める日本において山間部の集落は至るところに見られ、四季によって様々な表情を見せてくれます。中でも秋の枯れた風情は多くの人にとって日本的なノスタルジックそのものに感じるでしょう。京都市に属する花背（花脊）は上桂川上流の山間に位置し、いわゆる「何もない」典型的な山里ですが、京都市はじめ近隣の都市部に住む人たちにとっては愛着のある場所でもあります。今回、春日神社のイチョウの大木〜支流の寺谷川を遡った先にある峰定寺周辺、そしてその御神木である花背の三本杉まで撮影しました。
Most of Japan’s land is covered by forests, and mountain villages and streams are not uncommon sights. They offer a variety of scenery depending on the season, but the atmosphere of autumn in particular will make anyone, not just Japanese, feel nostalgic. This time, I walked through a village called “Hanase” in the mountains north of Kyoto City.
