Hidden behind closed shutters and beneath years of decay, lies a place frozen in time. Once filled with life and purpose, this abandoned house in a bustling Belgian city, with an adjoining optician store, now sits in eerie silence—waiting to be uncovered.
The once-bright lenses that sharpened the visions of so many now gather dust, their clarity dulled by time. It’s almost ironic—this was a place meant to restore sight, and yet, its own story has been left unseen, veiled in mystery and neglect.
This house, abandoned since 2012, is more than just a home; it’s a time capsule of Robert and Jacqueline, the couple who built their lives within these walls. Robert passed away in 2007, leaving Jacqueline to live here alone for five more years. When she too passed, the house was locked away, untouched. Plans for demolition began in 2021, but as the walls still stand, so do the unanswered questions.
Inside, the decay tells one story, but the remnants tell another: photographs capturing fleeting moments of happiness, priceless antiques are left forgotten, and even Jacqueline’s bank cards scattered as if she might return. Every room feels like a fragment of their lives, yet louder still is the question—did they leave behind anyone to remember them? If they had children, where are they now, as the bulldozers loom closer?
Today, I step into their world to uncover the fragments they left behind, to piece together a puzzle before it’s lost forever. This is a story of time, memory, and loss—a story on the brink of being forgotten. Follow me as I delve into this enigmatic house and the secrets it holds.

Das Video ist sooooo cool 😎 wow🙏💪
You are the best person ever on YouTube
What a great explore
That was a really nice place considering the fact that it's an optician it's kind of ironic for because I went to an optician today for myself. But not in Belgium of course. In Canada. Thank you very much for your exploration. Well done
Maureno, so happy to see you. Very interesting place, lots going on. Big place. Wish I knew why people just disappear 😢and leave all their memories behind. Where is Remon? Hope he’s well. So very happy to see you again. We all missed you very much. Love 💕 from Arizona.
So Sad to see the end of someone's dreams left unloved. I enjoy your videos because you describe everything with such feelings. Another great video. ❤😊✌️
I am sure I have seen a video of this place… some years ago… I guess from "Bros of Decay"…
Thanks awesome house keep up great work
If no family or friends are to claim the items before the building is demolished, great job in honoring this couple's achievements Maureno!
In my little country belgium!
From $6K to $73K that's the minimum range of profit return every week I thinks it's not a bad one for me, now I have enough to pay bills and take care of my family..
OMG! Maureno, how is this possible ? these beautiful homes/businesses just left untouched ? Is this a Belgian thing ? like the French, that have no-one to take over, so it just gets left forever ? And the most spectacular thing is that no-one goes in there and vandalises it, oh how cool is that ? In this country (uk) it would be ruined in a couple of years 🙁 You really do get some of the best locations anyone could ever ask for!! Love to you and yours 🥰🥰🥰

Buenísimo amigo 🔄⭕🔄, Explomo
I think that child in the picture is a boy….
nice segue into the commercial Moreno!
Another unique exploration! When I was growing up, I got to experience in home business like this one. Beauty Salons, Grocery stores, Even Veterinarians' and of course Pharmacies. These were always the more popular with a kind homey atmosphere my parents chose these places over the more expensive less personal business. I love seeing the optometrist in house. I would bet they were kind and also popular with their patrons as well. The moss growing under the dining table just a sight to see. It too always amazes me that not just one person in the family would not want some of their lovely belongings left behind that gives me a lonely feeling to think this place and all its furnishings can be demolished especially if it's in a town area. I like yourself saw no signs of children for this couple perhaps they were medically unable to have children. At any rate it looks like they had a happy life with their little business that served the community very few of the places are still around anymore. I enjoyed seeing this explore. I like the time you take to show each detail of interest and yes Maureno those stairs were very sketchy! Thank you for giving us a peek inside. Sincerely, Ninamosha B.
No no no childrens,,,,,,,?? No
What a pity that this House was left abandoned it must’ve been a very nice home before all the decay set in what a pity so sad it hurts my feelings. Thank you for such a nice video.
A very nice and cozy house with its finals day. This is and example that we are in a temporary voyage in this world when people are gone they left everything in the earth , the vio is excellent as usual

Great content, as always! Just a quick off-topic question: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How can I transfer them to Binance?
What a beautiful & cozy house! So many thing’s left behind! Wonderful video as usual! 👍👍❤️🤘✊
Hi Maureno, Robert in Sweden here. Very interesting video as always. I’m glad you found it before they remove the entire house. So many items to see, it’s always so special. It feels like even if they are not with any other family member, they are in your videos and stay there. I’m glad to not only be a Patreon member, now I’m youtube member also. Have a great rest of the week. Greetings from a snowy Sweden. Robert L
The one bedroom upstairs, with the nice French furniture and single bed may have been a live in aide or nurse/companion for the woman.
