THE Samurai Town to See in Japan!

THE Samurai Town to See in Japan!

If you want to learn about the Samurai of Japanese history, then Aizuwakamatsu is the place for you. In this video we tour Aizu as it is known, visiting Tsuruga Castle, the Sazaedo Temple and Aidu Bukeyashiki or “Samurai Residence”. You’ll be immersed in all the lore and history of the Samurai. We also spend a day at nearby Lake Inawashiro where we tour the Hideyo Noguchi Memorial Museum along with the World Glassware Hall before stopping off at a surprising little café by the lake. While in Aizu we stay as guests in a private Japanese home so that you can see what it’s really like to be a resident of Japan.

Visit us at www.unchartedjapan.net for more videos and written articles to help you find your way around Japan. Our family history in Japan goes back to 1861 and the family maintains a house in the Japan Alps, therefore, we have a unique perspective on Japan travel.
