多胡碑 ユネスコ世界の記憶 羊神社 多胡羊太夫 UNESCO Memory of the World
全国に２社しかない羊神社。群馬県安中市中野谷に佇む羊神社の狛犬は可愛い２頭の羊です。御祭神は多胡羊太夫。彼は銅山を発見し銅塊を朝廷に献上しました。その手柄によって多胡郡の郡主に任ぜられました。日本で最初に全国的に流通された通貨である和同開珎の発行の契機となりました。多胡郡の郡主に任ずるという朝廷の命令が多胡碑に記されています。この石碑は文化的および歴史的に貴重であるため、国の特別史跡に指定されましたが、また、ユネスコの世界の記憶にも認定されました。羊太夫について多数の伝説が残されており、そのいくつかを動画の中で紹介しています。
