Tokyo Neighborhood Tour: Harajuku’s Hidden Eats with Fashion Director Babymary (Vegan Friendly!)
Join Fashion Director Babymary as she takes us on a journey through Harajuku’s Neighborhood and its hidden vegan-friendly etas. Babymary, owner of the iconic Missfaline apparel brand in Kita-Aoyama, has lived in Harajuku for over 20 years. She was instrumental in introducing the world to the original Harajuku KAWAII culture, with many international celebrities and personalities visiting her Harajuku and Omotesando stores, collaborating to create fashion trends. Living a vegan lifestyle, Babymary will guide us through some of the best vegan restaurants in the Harajuku/Omotesando area and near Yoyogi Park. Among our stops is the urban hideaway, Brown Rice Tokyo—a traditional Japanese restaurant nestled in a lush botanical space. We’ll also visit Kakan Mapotofu Tomigaya, known for its delicious bean curd tofu made with soy meat.

I felt so old in Harajuku
im going to japan in a month and will avoid Takeshita street like the plague.
if you are over 25 you are atleast 10 years older than anyone on the street.
Sorry I tried but this isn't Shizuka Anderson so I cannot watch.
Wow, so many new hosts… Is somebody going on maternal leave soon?
beautiful woman
I need it to be Shizuka Anderson to watch
Interesting, but she's trying to relive 2000s Harujuku with a vegan twist
I was just in Harajuku yesterday 😊
Do Japanese people know that you can put everything on a plate and call it Thanksgiving dish. I feel bad for Japanese dishwashers.
美味しいそうでしたよ。Thanks for a vegan friendly episode!
Why a weird old lady ??
No Shizuka 😢
where's Shizuka?
Not a vegan myself, though wouldnt mind having more vegan content on Japan by Food, seems like vegan food is starting to grow slowly but steady in Japan.
I'm sure she's a sweet heart but her presentation style doesn't click with me. I'll pass.
🇧🇩🤍
she did well and stuck right with the channel's energy, with a vegan twist 😊
I've really enjoyed these one off with locals, I hope you keep doing them. I like the pared ack presenting style and what feels like genuine, tried and true recommendations
Oh no! The host isn’t up to Shizuka’s standards 😢
Yeah, don’t use her again 👎
These comments are so rude! I think its cool we get to see japan alongside a local.
I missed it on release 3 days ago because I was busy :< :<
We have ourselves another local presenter. Baby Mary-san is a lovely figure, I find it interesting that she's one of the people responsible for Harajuku's iconic Kawaii style. The places and food are yet again looking great, I love the creative vibe all throughout the video. I hope all wellness for her and the businesses in the video. Please ignore the rude comments down below, people really are heartless these days -__-
P.S: The vegan-themed foods look amazing! I really want to try them 🙂 🙂
P.P.S: 7:07 Eating a spicy Mapo Tofu while under that Cassette AC during a hot summer day must've felt great.
P.P.P.S: I wonder if Omotesando has a relation with "Sando". I was somehow thinking of a lot of sandwhiches on the street :b :b
I'm so surprisingly when they serve tempe as on their menu
I liked it. Those "no Shizuka?! Then I won't watch it!" comments are mean and rude. The host did a good job and seems very nice. It also brings new impressions to be shown around by other people. The channel is not called "Watch Shizuka eat". It was already clear from the title that someone else would be hosting this time! I also thought it was good that vegan food was featured for a change, as the last few episodes have been too much about Wagyu beef for me personally. Thanks!
Honestly people don't be so rude -_- I still enjoy Japan by Food videos even without Shizuka! We need to be open and respectful with the different contents they're trying to make and also different people in the videos.
