The Ushiku Daibutsu is the third-tallest statue in the world, but is a bizarrely underwhelming experience for tourists and visitors.
Entry is free, and for 100yen you can buy carrots and sunflower seeds for feeding. There’s also a small Japanese garden and koi carp pond.
